EXCITING NEWS! Registration Opens June 1st!
Starting June 14, we will be offering storytimes at the library! We have programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Monday-Friday; please see program descriptions and schedule for this summer below.
MESS is for children ages 3-5 and their grownups. Prepare to get messy in this 30-minute introduction to basic STEAM principles! We read a story and then do hands-on science experiments designed to help kids get excited about science, technology, engineering, art and math - with their grownups at their side. Registration is required, with a maximum of 15 children.
Toddler Time: ABCs and 123s (previously called Wiggle Worms) is for children ages 2 or 3 who have outgrown the baby story time, but aren’t quite ready for Preschool Pals. This 20-minute storytime has a basic early preschool curriculum and covers a number, color, or letter of the alphabet; we read one or two books and sing lots of songs, with plenty of opportunities for both kids and their grownups to get some wiggles out. Registration is required, with a maximum of 20 children.
Previously called Preschool Story Time, is for children ages 3-5. Each 30-minute storytime includes three or four books, songs, and action rhymes on a weekly theme, and helps children develop the socialization and early literacy skills they’ll use in school. Registration is required, with a maximum of 30 children.
Bouncing Babies is for children from birth through age two and their grownups.* In this 20-minute storytime, we’ll read just one or two books, but sing lots of songs while grownups play and bond with their child - learning fun songs, rhymes, bounces, and activities they can do at home, too! Registration is required, with a maximum of 10 children.
* If an older sibling needs to attend, we ask that they bring a stuffed animal or doll to use while they participate in the activities and songs.
Previously called Music & Movement, is a half hour of fun! All ages are welcome, but kids up to age 6 will enjoy it most. We start with a fun story, then dance, sing, and laugh while using gross motor skills and practicing socialization - but as far as the kids know, it’s just a dance party at the library!
Registration is required, with a maximum of 30 children.
