Secondary Water Turn On Dates & Information

The City of Saratoga Springs will begin charging the secondary (irrigation) water during the week of April 16-19.  In order to help the system charge faster we ask residents to shut off your secondary water valve.  This will also help you to quickly detect any leaks in your system.

Have your children signed up for the In-n-Out reading challenge, Cover to Cover?  Children ages 4-12 can earn a free cheeseburger or hamburger from In-n-Out for every five books they read.  Register at the library.  The program ends April 14.  All reading logs must be submitted by April 21.

Story Time is held the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:30am and 10:30am. 

Summer Reading will be held again this year with the theme “Dream Big.”  Registration and information will be available in May.  If you are interested in assisting with this valuable program, please contact the library (801-766-6513).

Girls’ Book Club will be on Thursday, April 19th from 7-8pm. This will be open to girls currently in 2nd, 3rd or 4th grade.  Featured book is Clementine by Sara Pennypacker.  Sponsored by the Girl Scout Brownie Troop 2317 and the library.

“Science Night at the Library – Fun with Chemistry” will be held on Saturday, May 5th at 7:00 PM.  Come enjoy the Loud bangs, Beautiful colors, Big Flames and Surprising reactions.  It will be entertaining for all ages.  See if you can guess what’s going to happen with each experiment.  You will be able to ask questions of the professors.  Snacks and beverages will be provided.  Professors Charles Atwood and Jeff Statler from the University of Utah will entertain us with a series of chemistry demonstrations.

Citywide Easter Egg Hunt

There will be a citywide Easter Egg Hunt on March 31st at 8:00am at Neptune Park. There will be multiple age categories and prizes from candy to a golden egg for each age group (got scooters!)
The Easter Bunny will be there to take pictures with the kids.

On Saturday, March 3, 2012, Alaynah Woodhouse, daughter of Cory and Annie Woodhouse, was crowned Ms. Saratoga Springs 2012.  Ashley Ottosen, daughter of Jeff and Carrie Lyn Ottosen, was crowned 1st attendant and Koryssa Farrer, daughter of Kory and Michelle Farrer, was crowned 2nd attendant. 

 Congratulation to these ladies and all those who competed. We are very proud of you all.
