I-15 Interchange at American Fork Main Street: Main Street Area (East of I-15) – With traffic now moved to the south side of Main Street, please remember that lanes are narrowed and all left turns into the business areas between State Street and Kawakami Drive are to be made only at signalized intersections.
Ongoing: The right-in turns into Main Street Plaza and the Alpine Shopping Center from westbound Main Street are closed to allow crews to reconstruct the north half of Main Street between U.S. 89 and I-15. The closure will be in place until mid-August. Motorists should use Kawakami Drive to access the shopping centers. Work on retaining walls for the north bridge of the new Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) continues. Crews are working on storm drain and retaining walls north of the DDI in the park and ride lot on 900 West. Several parking stalls on the northeast end of the lot have been eliminated. Please use caution in the area and watch for construction equipment.
March 15-April 9: 1020 West will be closed as crews install utilities down the center of 1020 West and reconstruct the roadway. Motorists will need to use 900 West.
Work is underway at the bridge farm location, north of 900 West.
March 15-16: Expect lane and off-ramp restrictions on southbound I-15 near American Fork Main Street, as trucks deliver girders for the north DDI bridge.
Construction of the bridge support columns for the north DDI bridge is underway. Crews are working on the bridge foundations in the I-15 median north of the existing bridge.
March 20: Southbound I-15 will be closed from 10 p.m. Saturday, to 7 a.m. Sunday as crews reconfigure and re-stripe southbound lanes. Southbound traffic will be diverted through the on- and off-ramps at the interchange during the work.
Access across the Main Street bridge over I-15 will also be restricted during this time. Motorists are advised to use Lehi Main Street. Please use caution when exiting and entering the interstate and expect slight travel delays as trucks, heavy equipment and construction crews are working nearby. Flaggers are posted to guide motorists through the construction area.

Current Construction Activities
Underground preparatory work for the future traffic signal at 2300 West will begin this week in the northeast corner of the intersection. Minor shoulder restrictions are in place to accommodate this work. Work on the irrigation system continues just east of Redwood Road. This work will have no impact to traffic. Preparatory work for the future traffic signal at Redwood Road will continue this week. Minor shoulder restrictions remain in place on Redwood Road to ensure the safety of crews in the area. Crews are at work clearing and placing fill in preparation for the future roadway on the west side of the project between the Jordan River and Redwood Road.
Ongoing Project Impacts
In the interest of safety, the small section of Jordan River Trail that falls within the project area has been closed. Access along the trail to the north and south will remain open, but there will be no connecting access through the project during construction. In order to construct the new railroad bridge and subsequently build the roadway beneath the bridge, UTA and UDOT have fully closed 2100 North between 2300 West and Pointe Meadows Drive. This closure will remain in place through Fall of 2011. Motorists should plan to use 1500 North as an alternate route.

The 2010 Census is Important.
It determines the distribution of more than $400 billion annually of government funding for critical community services. It generates thousands of jobs across the country. and it impacts your voice in Congress.
You Can Make a Difference.
As an influential community, business or organization leader, you can raise awareness of and encourage participation in this historic event. With your help, the Census Bureau will continue to produce accurate data, which will directly affect the quality of life in you community.
The Census: A Snapshot
- What: The census is a count of everyone residing in the United States.
- Who: All U.S. residents must be counted-people of all races and ethnic groups, both citizens and non-citizens.
- When: Census day is April 1, 2010. questionnaire responses should represent the household as it exists on this day. More detailed socioeconomic information will be collected annually from a small percentage of the population through the American Community Survey.
- Why: The U.S. Constitution requires a national census once every 10 years. The census will show state population counts and determine representation in the U.S. House of Representatives.
- How: Census questionnaires will be delivered or mailed to households via U.S. mail in March 2010; many household will receive a replacement questionnaire in early April. Census workers also will visit households that do not return questionnaires.

Rocky Mountain Power poles south of SR-73
Rocky Mountain Power (RMP) is nearly finished removing the power poles south of SR-73.
When RMP finishes their work, Geneva Rock will come back and fill in holes left by the poles as soon as asphalt suppliers begin producing the required materials in early April. The final layer of asphalt requires warmer temperatures for application. Geneva is scheduled to return again in May, weather permitting, to complete this work.
2100 North Special Project Update (Redwood Road Lane Closure)
