Each year prior to July 1st, the City adopts its annual budget. This process is an exercise by City staff and the City Council in evaluating and projecting existing and future revenues and expenditures. Put simply, the City Council adopts a fiscal plan that says how they are going to collect and spend public funds in the next 12 months.
Budget News-City Receives Budget Presentation Award
The City of Saratoga Springs is pleased to announce that they received the 2012 GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. Out of 243 cities and towns in Utah, Saratoga Springs was one of approximately 19 cities in the State to receive this prestigious award. In order to receive this award, the City had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget in the following categories: a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide, and a communications device.
