Saratoga Springs now has its own Court. Court sessions are held twice a month on Friday. To schedule a court date, have questions answered, or pay a ticket please contact the Court Clerk. Please take note that the citation you received gives you 14 days to appear or post bail. You may pay in person, mail your payment or put it in the drop box located in the parking lot northwest of the City Offices.
NOTICE
If you are appearing on a Moving Traffic Violation which……
- Did not involve a traffic accident
- Is your first violation in the past 3 years; and
- Is not for speeding in excess of 15 mph over the posted limit (actual speed listed on the citation); and
- Is not for speeding in a construction/ maintenance zone; and
- Does not require a mandatory appearance before a Judge;
You will be presented with the following option(s):
OPTION #1 FORFEITING THE BAIL
You may forfeit the bail which has been established by the Utah State Uniform Bail Schedule and, your case will be closed. The corresponding points will be assessed to your driving record.
If you do not do appear or forfeit within 14 calendar days from the date written on the citation, then a delinquent notice will be mailed - adding $50 to your fine. If you do not respond to the delinquent notice, then (1) a "failure to appear" violation will be added & (2) a warrant is issued for your arrest, adding another $250 or more to your charges.
OPTION #2 TRAFFIC SAFETY CLASS
Offered online only at an additional cost of $65.00; you must first qualify and sign a plea in abeyance agreement with the court.
OPTION #3 HEARING
You have the right to request a hearing with the Judge.
